One of the 12 Best Online Graphic Design Degrees
All degrees combine equal emphasis on theory and practice to provide students a liberal-arts-cum-professional-training background, and graduates’ current employers reflect the school’s highly applicable curricula: Disney, Google, Facebook, DeviantArt, Colle McVoy, Microsoft, R/GA, Cartoon Network, and Design Ranch, among others. (For those interested, there are also undergraduate and graduate tracks in Advertising, Business Design and Leadership, Design Management, Fashion (MA/MFA), Interior Design (MA), Preservation Design (MA), and Writing (MFA); plus 70 minors and certificate programs.)
The school’s 19:1 student-to-faculty ratio helps to create an intimate, collaborative learning community that prioritizes individualized and experiential learning: over 70% of classes consist of less than 20 students, and no classes have more than 50. While all degrees integrate some classroom-oriented portfolio practicums, students also have the unqiue opportunity to participate in SCAD’s Collaborative Learning Center, working alongside some of the most influential businesses, brands and organizations in the world; Procter and Gamble, Electronic Arts, Fossil, The Coca-Cola Company, Reebok, Saint Laurent, BMW, Adobe, and FOX Sports are among previous partners.
